Billy, later named as B-7, is the son of Dan and Vera, as well as the main protagonist of B-7 story from Tales from the Pizzaplex: Happs and B7-2 from Tales from the Pizzaplex: B7-2.
Physical Appearance[]
Human Form[]
Billy is said to have brown hair and brown eyes, making him resemble his father.
Animatronic[]
As an animatronic, named "B-7", his arms and legs were replaced with prosthetic limbs, and his head receive modifications to resemble more robotic, described as bald, covered in metal faceplates, black-dyed eyes, his ears were cut off, and his tongue was sliced off to give him the ability to communicate via texts. What is left for his human body are the remnants for his head, torso, and pelvis.
Split[]
After being crushed by a trash compactor, Billy undergoes surgery, having a majority of his animatronic parts removed. Billy had cracked bones and damaged organs, with some other prosthetic materials added onto his flesh. The robotic parts of his face are removed, leaving huge scars on it. The bits removed from Billy were a singular shambled endoskeleton with bits of his flesh attached to it. It speaks through a broken voice synthesizer.
Personality[]
Due to delusional disorder, Billy believes he was an animatronic since he was 5 years old when watching Freddy and Friends. He would behave like a robot, such as eating only white food and sleeping on the steel table instead of the bed, and views common subjects as how robots would behave, like sleeping as recharging, his senses as sensors, and learning as computing knowledge.
History[]
B-7[]
When Billy was 3 years old, he was put into medical intensive care and had to be away from his family while treated, resulting in trauma from the event. Now 5, he likes watching the TV show Freddy and Friends. He likes the idea of being a big animatronic, as they're strong and don't feel bad things like people do. During a commercial for Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria, he starts acting like an animatronic and his parents humor him. The next day he pushes one of his friends for calling his behavior stupid and gets put into time-out, but he sings the entire time since he wasn't "turned off". His mother talks to the teacher and takes him to Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria afterwards. The next day, the teacher and her assistant set up an area for Billy to be while he continues to act like an animatronic. All of his friends start making fun of him, but Billy doesn't care because robots don't feel. That night, he overhears a conversation between his concerned parents. Billy "downloads an update" to help him act more like a little boy.
Two months later his parents start taking him to see Dr. Lingstrom. She tells them to play along with his fantasy, as he could have a psychotic break if they don't. Four months later, Billy hasn't changed, and he fails to realize that school has ended for the summer. His parents are getting extremely stressed out. For first grade, Billy is moved to a private school, where he gets an early robotics class and learns that robots need oil, so every night he would sneaks into the garage and drinks some. One day, he throws up and is taken to the Parts and Service, which is a hospital. Once he starts to drink oil again, he's rushed back the next day and the doctor learns of what he's been doing. Her mother explains what's happening and the doctor tells Billy that he needs olive oil, which can be found in the food that his mother cooks.
Billy begins keeping track of time through Christmas and his "creation day" (birthday) which he considers to be the year that he realized that he was an animatronic. His mother plays along but chooses to keep it the year that he was born. After four years of being an animatronic, Billy overhears his father telling his mother to institutionalize Billy, but his mother believes that the phase will be over soon. Dan says that Billy is making their life a living hell, and two days later he leaves. Vera tells Billy that his father just doesn't understand, and when she points out that Billy is growing and animatronics usually don't grow, Billy concludes it's simply because he's a unique and advanced one. Billy continues to act like an animatronic, sleeping on a steel table, only wearing plain gray and black clothes, and only eating white food due to animatronics do not efficiently digest color.
On the first day of seventh grade, Billy requests to stay home. Vera, now pale and skinnier, gets excited at first, but Billy reveals that it's because he feels the disadvantages outweigh the advantages and he will instead add to his databases by reading books from the library. At dinner, Billy listens in on a phone call that his mother is having. She expresses her concern over that Billy no longer having other kids to emulate, but still refuses to send him anywhere, and instead she will fully take care of him. Despite not feeling emotions, Billy can feel a sensation in his heart, and he hugs his mother. On Billy's 12th creation day, he has his mother move his room into the basement, where he only has his table and another table for his computer and books.
On Billy's 18th creation day, his mother throws a big party that only Billy, his mother, and Dr. Lingstrom attend. Dr. Lingstrom recommends putting Billy in a group home, bringing up one with a resident that has lycanthropy, but his mother turns it down, insisting on taking care of him herself. Billy returns to his room to look up the meaning of lycanthropy. One day, Billy finds his mother trying to kill herself by submerging herself in the bathtub with an empty drinking glass and the medicine cabinet open. He calmly calls the police, remembering the "update" that Vera gave him to act like a human and keep his animatronic identity a secret. Billy opens an email that his mother told him to open once she died, and it contains important instructions on how to function as an animatronic adult. Over the next year, Billy experiences cognitive dissonance; he believes he is an animatronic, but he still feels human-like sensations from his body. He decides that in order to fully become an animatronic, he needs to replace all his limbs with prosthetic ones. All the surgeons that he calls refuse, but Billy finds an unlicensed surgeon who lost his license due to malpractice lawsuits related to unspecified substance abuse.
The doctor, referred to as Doc, agrees to due to surgeries. Billy feels intense pain when his left leg is removed, but he hopes the prosthetic would make him faster and stronger. Unfortunately, he only feels weaker. Still, as he passes the junkyard a few miles away from his house, he feels hopeful that the remaining surgeries will improve. He has to hire movers to relocate his stuff into his mother's old room and move her furniture out. He gets his last limb replacement surgery two days after his 20th creation day, but he only feels weak to a point that Doc has to drive him home. Billy looks up further modifications and comes across an online chat room for people who aren't satisfied with their physical appearance, and there he meets Maliah. She wasn't happy with her outward appearance and explains that she wants liposuction, cheek sculpting, and a nose job. Billy decides that he wants facial sculpting as well, and she decides to visit Billy's house.
She falls in love with him due to his kind nature and ability to listen to people. After her third visit, they officially become a relationship. However, Billy still wants more procedures done on him to make him more robotic. He has metal plates implanted into his cheeks to be more angular, has his eyes dyed black, and his tongue removed. Billy now talks through a vocal synthesizer implanted in his throat which he uses by typing into his computer. When Billy has his ears removed, he asks Maliah to shave his head after the incisions heal, and when asked if that will be the last thing that he has done, Billy tells her he's getting more surgeries. Maliah immediately leaves and stops visiting, but they still talk online. One day, Billy calls Maliah to be referred to as B-7 for now on. In response, she hangs up.
B-7 calls Maliah after all of his surgeries are done to ask if she wants to celebrate his 21st creation day, but she says that she's busy. On the day of his celebration, B-7 looks in the mirror and is tormented by the sudden realization that he is not actually an animatronic and has completely ruined his life. Billy lets out a massive wail as all of his repressed emotions and feelings flood back. He calls Doc to ask if the procedures can be undone, but he says sorry and good luck. Billy contemplates a while before leaving in the middle of the night and walking to the junkyard. He gets inside through an opening in the fence and falls asleep in an old station wagon. Billy wakes to vibrations and looks to see the car heading for a compactor. He hides before anyone can see him and waits to be crushed. Although Billy's in excruciating pain, he feels happy, as the blood reminds him of who he truly is.
B7-2[]
Billy is found by the owner of the junkyard and is sent to the hospital. Billy is put into a medically-induced coma, and undergoes several surgeries to keep him alive. A majority of his robotic insides are removed, with bits of his flesh still attached to them. This process creates another new being. While Billy remains himself, the robotic parts severed from him formed a consciousness of its own; B-7.
Billy wakes up in the hospital, and recovers over the course of several weeks. He starts to eat normal foods, with red jello ending up being a personal favorite of his. He also relearns how to move around with help from his physiotherapist. Billy also refuses any new prosthetics, willing to keep the damaged ones. Billy also reunites with some of the people he knew, such as Dr. Lingstrom, his two classmates Clark and Peter, and even his grandma.
One night, Billy awakens to the sound of someone calling his name. He leaves his room to investigate, going to another room in the lower floors of the hospital. He hears the sounds coming from a nearby cabinet. Without needing to open it, Billy realizes that its his now sentient robotic parts. Billy is caught by security and taken back to his room before he can do anything. However, B-7 follows closely behind.
B-7 tries manipulating Billy into re-merging, stating that being an animatronic was his destiny and that no one tried to help him when he was all alone. It states that it and Billy were designed to be one. Billy ignores B-7's pleads and eventually leaves the hospital to go live with his grandma. Happy to be far away from his robotic half, Billy adjusts to living with his grandma, despite the lack of phones or TV.
Billy goes to Sunday school at church and befriends one of the atendees; Frank. They go fishing together and Billy learns that Frank is an author, which inspires him to write a book one day. Frank also gives Billy a journal to help him write out his thoughts. Billy also asks his grandma about his father, who he learns is working in Peru. While this happening, B-7 calls Billy's grandma every night, trying to get to Billy. However, Billy's grandma offers a compromise; merge with her instead, so B-7 can get closer to Billy through her. B-7 agrees to this.
One night, while Billy is writing in his journal, he hears his grandma talking. He heads downstairs to find B-7 crawling into Billy's grandma's body. Billy tries to stop it, but Billy's grandma stops him, accepting her fate. As B-7 is nearly done integrating itself, it stops and tries to back out, but Billy's grandma holds down the remaining parts that hadn't merged with her. Billy's grandma explains that she was already dying of cancer, and decided to sacrifice herself to take down B-7, and allow Billy to truly be free. Billy's grandma encourages Billy to be kind and live life to the fullest. B-7 can only beg Billy for help, as its movement starts to slow down. Eventually, both it and Billy's grandma die.
Billy calls Frank to help bury both his grandma and his other half. Clark and Peter take Billy in for the next two weeks. Eventually, he decides that his next step in life is to reunite with dad in Peru. He is uncertain of what will happen, but is willing to live, never forgetting his grandma's sacrifice.
