Bonnie the Rabbit is an animatronic rabbit and a minor character in the Fazbear Frights book series. He is an alternatively counterpart of Bonnie the Rabbit from Five Nights at Freddy's and the Guitarist of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
Appearance[]
Bonnie is a blue colored animatronic rabbit with magenta eyes and a squarish muzzle. The color from his muzzle, stomach and insides of his ears is a grayish color. He sports articulated ears that are capable of bending backwards and forwards (similar to several other animatronics' ears) and wears a red bow tie, which is partially obstructed by his chin. Onstage, he carries a dark red guitar. Unlike the other characters, he has round teeth and lacks eyebrows.
Excluding his head, most of Bonnie's body appears identical to Freddy's, apart from the latter's color. This version of Bonnie, like most of the animatronics in the first game (except for Foxy), has no visible teeth on his upper jaw.
History[]
Five Nights at Freddy's Novel Series[]
The Silver Eyes[]
Before Cassidy became Bonnie, she was a young girl who was at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. On that day, five children were visited by Spring Bonnie, one of the two animatronics (actually William Afton wearing the Spring Bonnie suit).
He lured them into a back room, where he murdered them and hid their bloodied corpses inside soon-to-be-released animatronics. The children's spirits remained trapped in the animatronics.
In 1995, The family restaurant Charlie's father once owned now an incomplete shopping mall has been built in the restaurant's place, but upon further investigation the friends discover the restaurant is still standing, and the mall has been built around it.
After breaking in, Charlotte and her friends explore the abandoned restaurant and find that the animatronic mascot characters - Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie the Rabbit, and Chica the Chicken, which were built by Charlie's father - have been left behind.
The next day, Charlie and her friends attend the scholarship's launch ceremony at their old school, where Michael's parents give a speech about him. Afterwards, John confesses to Charlie that he remembers seeing a strange person in a yellow Freddy costume at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza on the day of Michael's death, and he now suspects this person was Michael's killer.
That night, Charlie, Jessica, John, and Carlton return to the restaurant, accompanied by their friends Lamar, Marla, and her 11-year-old brother Jason.
They discover the still-functioning control panel which makes the robots move, and Charlie finds a fourth robot - Foxy the Pirate Fox - which cuts her arm with its hook. The next morning, haunted by recent events, Charlie tells John that before moving to Hurricane her father owned another restaurant called Fredbear's Family Diner, which featured two performing robots, yellow versions of Freddy Fazbear and Bonnie the Rabbit.
After returning to the pizzeria, William reveals that the robots are possessed by the vengeful ghosts of his victims, and boasts that they will hunt down and kill any intruders. The group tries to hide in a party room, but all four robots corner them.
After Golden Freddy from Fredbear's Family Diner, which Charlie realizes is possessed by Michael's ghost. The Golden Freddy allows them to leave, and Chief Burke arrives to search for the missing Officer Dunn. William attacks in the yellow Bonnie costume, but Charlie activates its spring locks, killing him.
As the robots drag William's corpse away, Chief Burke escorts everyone out of the mall. The friends go their separate ways, and before leaving Hurricane, Charlie visits her father's grave, remembering a happy day she had with him.
Twisted Ones[]
Bonnie, along with the other Animatronics returns to help Charlotte and her friends fight William (now Springtrap) and his Twisted Animatronics.
The Fourth Closet[]
Bonnie himself doesn't appear in the third novel, but alongside his animatronic companions, his Endoskeleton was melded into an Amalgamation, a source of remnant for William Afton.

The Week Before[]
The main protagonist of the story, Ralph the Phone Guy is planning on retiring. Bonnie and the others hear of this and slowly plan on leaving as well. They tamper with the restaurant's power without anyone noticing, slowly growing strong enough to escape the restaurant. Over the course of five nights, Bonnie and the gang try to kill Ralph on his last week and make him stay with them. Bonnie can kill Ralph depending on choices the reader makes.
On Night 1, Bonnie becomes active and wanders towards the West Hall. Ralph also has a close encounter with him after he replaces the lightbulbs in the men's restroom.
On Night 2, Bonnie's head detaches from his body and ends up in the Dining Area. The main objective of this night is reattaching it. After retrieving a screwdriver and twisting to the right, Bonnie is whole again. He has enough time to attack Ralph, only for it to turn 6AM. Bonnie reverts to manual programming and returns to the stage.
On Night 3, Bonnie blocks the way to the Supply Closet and Ralph must wait for him to leave before going there to get supplies and clean Party Room 2. Bonnie eventually returns to stage when Freddy becomes active.
On Night 4, an energized Bonnie along with the rest of the band party in the restaurant. Bonnie plays his guitar as the others go ham. Ralph is able to make his way to the Breaker Room and turns off the lights to reset the power.
On Night 5, Ralph's last day, the whole gang attacks and try breaking into the Office. Bonnie in particular tries to ambush him in the vents, but is blinded by Ralph's flashlight. While there are routes where Ralph can survive, his canon fate has him recording the Night 4 phone call as Bonnie and the others break in and kill Ralph together.
On the secret Night 6, Ralph learns of Freddy and the gang's plans of following him home from Bronwen, a junior reporter who died trying to stop them. Bonnie is the one to kill her and stuff her in a Freddy suit. Jeremy, the kid possessing him, is also mentioned. Bonnie also blocks the ventilation shafts. While all the animatronics prepare to leave, Ralph is able to overload their charging platforms and use the access panel to play music as a distraction. Freddy, Bonnie and Chica fall for the trap, malfunctioning and shutting down onstage.
History: Minor Roles[]
Fazbear Frights[]
Bonnie, along with the other members of the main four, make small cameos throughout the various stories in Fazbear Frights. Unlike the games and novel trilogy, Bonnie is just a regularly functioning animatronic without any vengeful spirits inside of him. In some stories, Bonnie can be found in open pizzerias performing on stage, like Into the Pit and Step Closer, and in others, he can be found deactivated in abandoned, closed down pizzerias, like in Fetch and The New Kid.
While different versions of Bonnie, such as Spring Bonnie, Springtrap, Plushtrap and RWQFSFASXC have had their own stories, the original version of Bonnie has had no major role so far.
Into the Pit[]
Bonnie first appears performing on stage alongside Freddy and Chica in 1985, back when Jeff's Pizza was Freddy Fazbear's Pizza instead. Earlier on, Oswald absentmindedly drew animatronics, one of which was a bunny, most likely Bonnie himself.
Fetch[]
Bonnie appears alongside Freddy, Chica, and Foxy in the abandoned Freddy Fazbear location.
The New Kid[]
He appears with Freddy and Chica in another abandoned pizzeria. Foxy is located in Pirate's Cove.
What We Found[]
Old parts of Bonnie animatronics are used in Fazbear's Fright for authenticity.
Sea Bonnies[]
Bonnie appears to be performing on stage with his bandmates, Freddy and Chica, in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. He's also protagonist of in-universe book Foxy and Bonnie on the High Seas.

The Monty Within[]
A virtual version of Bonnie appears in the Fazcade Tag-Team fighting game. He is chosen by Kane's brother Archer, alongside Glamrock Chica.
Trivia[]
- Unlike his alternatively counterpart who was possessed by a boy's spirit, Bonnie in the book series is possessed by a girl.
- In the first story of the second book, Fetch, the titular animatronic originates from a Freddy's location, in which four animatronics are seen deactivated. Although not directly stated to be him, it's possible Bonnie is one of them, given the fact it's a Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
