Plot

The Puppet Carver

Three years earlier, Jack opened up his own pizzeria brand; the Pizza Playground. Since then, business hadn't thrived, and Jack remained in a financial rut. Customers weren't showing up, his employees were slacking, and his animatronics were breaking down. An animatronic pig malfunctions on stage — the third that month — and Jack angrily orders his two employees, Porter and Sage to repair it. Porter proudly tells Jack that the invention that he has been working on a machine that cuts cheap slabs of wood into functional animatronics. Jack coldly dismisses his ideas and tells them to get back to work.

From here, the story alternates between Jack's life and sections of a novel written by Sage. His novel is called The Puppet Carver, and it is about a wooden puppet named Sylvester, who wishes to be real. His creator only gives him three senses: sight, hearing, and smell. Sylvester wishes to be able to touch and experience emotions, so he pays "the Fixer" to give him the remaining senses. He is connected to a machine and feels extreme pain, but with that pain comes pleasure. His body was "shocked to life" and he can now feel everything. The novel ends with him holding his newborn daughter in his hands.

Meanwhile for Jack, his life becomes worse. Porter tries to show off his machine to him, but it breaks down. Jack fires all his workers in a fit of rage.

Later in the night, Jack hears a ticking noise coming from the machine. He crawls inside, but the door suddenly swings shut, and the saws and blades come dangerously close to him. Miraculously, a loud "bang" is heard, and the blades stop in their tracks. Jack escapes the machine and gains a new outlook in life after coming so close to death. He decides to apologize to all the people he hurt in his life.

While buying donuts for his family, he hears footsteps behind him in the parking garage. As the footsteps become more wet-sounding and "sloshy", he hides in an abandoned office building to try to stay safe. However, a creature made from Faz Goo enters through the cracks of the door and the slime follows him through the building. When Jack is finally cornered, he sees the being as made up of pink slime, organs, and mechanical parts. When the being reaches out to Jack, he feels unimaginable pain — the pain that he caused towards other people throughout his life — before the pain suddenly stops and the creature disappears.

Jack finally reaches out to all the people that he had hurt in his life, including rehiring all the workers that he fired. Porter decides to work on a newer version of the machine to impress Jack. When Sage disposes of the old machine, he notices an odd smell coming from it. He pulls out the waste tray to find some Faz Goo. Confused of what it is, he simply throws it away in a dumpster.

Jump for Tickets

Colton is a deeply unhappy high schooler. After his father died in a car accident, he kept all his sadness to himself and lashes out at others, especially children. His mother gives him money weekly to go to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where he is saving his tickets to buy an expensive game console. Most commonly "BB's Ball Drop" and "DeeDee's Fishing Hole".

One day, he goes to Freddy's and ends up coming across his little cousin Aidan's birthday party, he invites him to a game of Jump for Tickets.

Jump for tickets is essentially a clear tube tunnel with a platform that you jump up and down on to knock the tickets off from the walls to catch, and an animatronic by the name of Coils the Birthday Clown is essentially the main attraction to this device, he occasionally holds out tickets as a way to motivate kids to come and play the game. Colton watches children play the game and discovers that it is rigged to give more tickets to little kids than older ones. Desperate to win and make things fair, he devises a plan to sneak into Freddy's later and fix the machine.

After getting the tools from his uncle, he enters the pizzeria and hides in a closet before it closes. He suffers a small panic attack from being in the small space but waits for all the employees to leave. He exits the closet and rewires the Ticket Pulverizer to require more pressure on its platform, convinced that it would reward older kids more tickets. He leaves through a window excited to win more tickets.

However, it turns out that he made the game more unfair than it was before. Colton visits Freddy's the next day and finds that little kids were winning more tickets than ever before while he only got less. He spends the next few days obsessed with fixing the machine to the point where his grades were failing, and he became distant from his family.

A few days later, Colton sneaks into Freddy's three hours before it opens, finally ready to fix the game. He finds Coils the Birthday Clown standing in a hallway and quietly walks past it. He sees Coils follow him and it stands right in front of the Ticket Pulverizer. The clown places one of its hands on Colton, but he pushes it away to get to work on the machine. He opens the hatch to the machine and enters it with the necessary tools. Coils tries to pull Colton out of the machine, but he kicks it away and closes the hatch to prevent it from trying again.

He finishes redoing the Ticket Pulverizer, but much to his horror, the hatch wouldn't open when he tries to exit. He can see through a small hole that Coils is standing outside. Colton suffers a bigger panic attack stuck in the small confines of the machine, worrying about the lack of oxygen inside and whether he would be rescued in time. He becomes helpless as he loses his sense of time and reality while stranded inside.

Colton eventually hears the sounds of Freddy's opening and people in the restaurant. He plans to start yelling for help when people were near the machine in the hopes that they would hear him. As kids enter the Ticket Pulverizer, he realizes that the platform was dangerously close to crushing him, and that he needed to get their attention before they started jumping. He starts screaming for help, but he is not heard.

The story switches to the perspective of Bella, the new birthday girl. She enters the Ticket Pulverizer with her six friends and jumps up and down on the platform, but the platform wasn't dropping normally. They try jumping harder, but the platform slowly grinds to a halt. Their parents call over a manager who investigates the machine. Coils grabs the manager's hand and points to the base of the Ticket Pulverizer, but he ignores the clown and walks on the platform, noting a "liquidy squishing" sound coming from it.

When the manager leaves the machine, he realizes that Coils's face changed from its usual huge grin to a tragic frown. He believes that he can see tears coming down the clown's face. Aidan notices its face and hugs Coils, telling it to not be sad like Colton and that he was saving his tickets to buy a gift for him. Coils hugs Aidan back. The manager walks past them to place an "OUT OF ORDER" sign on the machine.

Pizza Kit

Payton and Marley are best friends and are in the same home economics class. The class goes on a trip to the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Kit Factory, where Marley convinces Payton to sneak off from the group. They explore the large machines that make the toppings for the pizzas and stumble upon a steamy room full of large vats of tomato sauce. They both go on a catwalk to see the vats from above. Marley taunts her friend by jumping on the catwalk and leaning on the railing, but the railing breaks and she falls down and disappears in the steam. Payton can't find her friend's body on the floor and fears she died falling in a vat of tomato sauce. Not wanting to be accused of killing her friend, Payton keeps quiet about Marley's presumed death.

Later, Marley's mother begins searching for her daughter. Payton lies to her that she doesn't know anything about her disappearance. The guilt begins building up inside of her to the point where she suffers mental breakdowns.

She has a nightmare where she returns to the Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Kit alone. She is in the room with the vats of tomato sauce, and there is a large pot of sauce on top of a fire. Freddy Fazbear takes Marley's arm, foot, and severed head and places it in the pot.

When she returns to school, her home economics class begins eating the pizza kits from the factory. Payton's kit is the only one different from her classmates. The sauce seemed to be like blood, the crust seemed to be like skin, and the pepperoni seemed to be like a tongue. Payton tells herself to stop overreacting and to just eat the pizza. She then realizes that the pizza was Marley, and that she had to eat the pizza to remove the evidence. As she eats the pizza, she notes a grisly and metallic taste.

She has a second nightmare where she feels pressure in her stomach after finishing the pizza. Her body begins to expand, and Payton tries to make herself vomit in the bathroom to get rid of whatever is in her stomach. She feels something moving from her stomach up her body, and she begins to choke as it reaches her throat. Suddenly, Marley's hand reaches out of her mouth and tries to crawl out. The arm retreats into her body, and now she feels lumps on her face as the skin is stretched. Her eyes are blasted out from their eye sockets from the pressure. Marley's flesh and tissue comes out of her nose, mouth, ears, and empty eye sockets, but the pressure only increases. She continues spewing out Marley until she is "emptied out" and remains alive through the whole process.

Payton wakes up from her nightmare, and she vomits to relieve herself. She hears loud rustling outside of her house and fears that it is Marley wanting revenge for abandoning her. She then fears that what is outside of her house is not Marley, but "what was left" of her. She climbs on her roof and waits for her to leave.

The story switches to Marley's perspective, revealing that she was fine all this time and enjoyed being "missing". She visits Payton's house to let her know that she was okay and alive. She hears a sound comes from the other side of her house and finds Payton on the ground with a snapped neck. Marley screams.

Epilogue

After some digging, Larson found thirty samples worth of blood in the ball pit. Larson receives the results of the blood samples which were tested in the lab. All thirty samples came from one person, with each sample coming from a different year. Larson deduces that something has been bleeding inside the ball pit for over three decades and is determined to find the source. He suspects that it may tie back to the Stitchwraith, and potentially help him find out of its good or evil.

Sometime passes, as Jake and the girl he rescued continue to hide out in the shed. The thing crawling outside has disappeared. Jake returns with some food, discovering that the girl has woken up. She introduces herself, stating that her name is "Renelle". Jake feels something off about the name, but he ignores it. Renelle looks more healthier than before, with combed hair, bright eyes, and clean skin.

Jake tells her that he protected her from the drug dealers, which she thanks him for. He blurts out that he is surprised that she isn't afraid of him. She explains that being homeless for so long taught her that the things that looked like him aren't always monsters, and that the real monsters are those who hurt and take advantage of others. She recalls her past and how she ended up with the drug dealers, explaining that her mother died when she was 13 and her father became obsessed with work to deal with the grief. Her father sent her to school, so she stole some of his money, and her father kicked her out, forcing her to survive on the streets.

Renelle sheds tears as she eats the food Jake bought back, as he realizes that she still misses her dad. Jake decides to help reunite her with her father, when at that moment, a ray of sunlight falls on Renelle. He notices that she's wearing a silver pendant in the shape of a heart. He smiles, believing that it's a sign of good fortune to come.

Trivia

The Puppet Carver

  • This story is the first time a Fazbear Frights exclusive character returns, since Chris as Faz-Goo was previously featured in He Told Me Everything.
  • Pigpatch is implied to appear in this story, making him the first Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria Simulator character to appear in the Fazbear Frights series.
  • In Dawko's discussion video about The Puppet Carver, Dawko states that it was strongly implied that Jack was actually killed inside the machine and was replaced by the Faz-Goo creature. [1]
    • Dawko also mentioned that the Faz-Goo creature who started to chase the "new Jack" was the remains of the original Jack trying to get his original body back and possibly to extracted revenge on his new clone.
      • Dawko also stated that when the Faz-Goo creature touched the "new Jack", the "new Jack" may have absorbed the remainder of the original Jack into his body and experienced all the anger and pain Jack's personality contained and how he used it on other people.
        • Furthermore, Dawko continued saying that the "new Jack" wanted to make things right, unlike what the original Jack would have done, which could explain why Jack was the complete opposite of his personality when he exited the machine.

Jump for Tickets

  • "BB's Ball Drop" and "Dee-Dee's Fishing Hole" are arcade games found in the restaurant.
    • These are references to the BB's Air Adventure and Dee Dee's Fishing Hole minigames from Five Nights at Freddy's 3 and FNaF World, respectively.
  • The plot of this story is similar to the plot of Hide and Seek, with the protagonist being frustrated with the difficulty of an arcade game and tampering with it.
  • It is strongly implied at the end that Colton dies inside the base of the Ticket Pulverizer machine, and that his spirit ends up inhabiting Coils the Birthday Clown.
    • Dawko also stated in his discussion video that Coils may have already been possessed before by a different spirit and when Coils was preventing Colton from going into the machine, Dawko stated that Coils was most likely programmed to prevent people from going into the machine when the pizzeria is closed since the machine is way too dangerous to use, most likely due to the fact that the machine is deactivated at this time.
  • Given the physical description of Coils, many fans believe that the mask of Ennard originated from him.

Pizza Kit

  • The summary erroneously states that Marley's friend disappeared in the factory, when it was actually Marley who disappears.
    • Payton is also referred to as Marley on accident several times throughout the story.
  • This is the second story where there is no true antagonist, the first being The Real Jake.
    • Since Marley turned out to be safe and alive the whole time, it's revealed that what Payton has been seeing and hearing throughout the story were fear-induced hallucinations, manifesting her guilt for leaving Marley behind.
