Kira Breed-Wrisley, is a #1 New York Times bestselling author, professional screenwriter, playwright, and ghostwriter. Her ghostwritten and credited books have secured contracts with Big-5 publishers, including multi-book offers from HarperCollins and Scholastic. Kira is most well-known for her work on the Five Nights at Freddy’s series coauthored with Scott Cawthon.

A graduate of Cornell University with a degree in history, Kira began her career in writing as a playwright, focusing largely on social justice and youth education issues. Her plays have been performed all over Upstate NY, New England, and NYC. Partners in production have included youth theater company The Media Unit, Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Labor Council of CNY, Vera House Women’s Shelter, and Onondaga County School Systems. Her work has won awards from SALT (Syracuse Area Live Theater), Vera House Women’s Shelter, Ivy Film Festival, and CHC/Syracuse International Film Festival.
Kira’s recent work focuses mostly on ghostwriting memoir and a wide variety of trade fiction, including young adult, thriller/horror, and chick lit.
